Visiting rural communities in southern Morocco with respect

The South photographs well. That is exactly why you should slow down. A community is not a film set. Here are concrete marks, without a lecture from nowhere.
Ask before you photograph
Courtyards, doors, children, women at work: these are not wallpapers. Ask. Accept a no. Put the drone away unless someone has allowed it.
At table, the phone can wait. That is already a readable form of respect, clearer than a speech about “authenticity”.
Time is not optional
Arriving late, eating in twenty minutes and leaving with the horn is not a visit. If the circuit is tight, tell the house: it can refuse or shift, rather than endure it.
Dar Aghmoul Atlas does not display confirmed hours. The conversation is also for that: matching your road to the house’s pace.
Money, gifts, “experiences”
Do not improvise a market in the courtyard. If a walk or a meeting is possible, it is discussed with the house, not by handing coins to children on the path.
The experience proposals on the site remain leads. They do not justify walking into a private house or a field. For a meal, write first.
